[ Germán Rodríguez Laverde ]

A Colombian cinematographer whose work has informed a style that manages to project emotions and feelings by becoming one with the camera. His experience includes assistant director, director, and cinematographer. He worked for large production houses on projects with international distribution. Germán has won the prestigious Canon Colombia competition (“best photography” and “best short film”) in two consecutive years. He has also been recognized worldwide by Sony International Photography in the category "moving image". An advertising campaign he worked on won several awards at Cannes. And he was a finalist in a Vans USA contest for the best short film. Germán as one of the emerging talents of 2019 by the prestigious photographer Steve Mccurry (President of Nat Geo).    He studied at the Global Cinematography Institute in Los Angeles, California through a competitive a stimulus scholarship granted by the institute which was founded by Yuri Neyman, a member of the American Film Association (ASC).
